Hallam Hellcats

I partnered with Hallam Hellcats to produce content images as part of an ongoing engagement with female photographers and the team.

Challenged to create new imagery of the team Hallam Hellcats vs Manchester Valkyries in my own style and approach, I chose to light the game in a renaissance style, which is often not possible during a competition.

I focused on the unity and competitive co-operation of the teams, viewing them as unit (or ‘pack’ as they are called in the game) rather than singling out individuals. This also helped address an ongoing enquiry of how to photograph women without objectifying, or if it is possible to do so.
